CityWideTV focuses its attention on the subject of women in business in the first of a series of videos which showcases the scope and range of female entrepreneurship here in Dublin and the country as a whole. This time round we talk to Fashion Consultant and Stylist, Mairead Vickers as she gives us an insight into what it is to run your own business and throws a light on the often overlooked area of Men’s Fashion styling.

With fresh ideas, creativity and talent in abundance, noted design duo Sonya Lennon and Brendan Courtney took the plunge and opened the doors to their latest venture at No.19 Stephen’s Street…
The Central Dairy
During a busy day of styling and shoot research, fresh from the print & colour explosion at Primark’s Summer 2014 Showcase , and in the mood for some more previews & collection sneak peeks; I took an hour to stop in and check out Sonya and Brendan’s new digs at No.19.
Greeted, welcomed & ushered in by the lovely Deborah & Helen, I stepped into a bright, elegant and beautifully balanced space at the studio front. Images from the design duo’s first collaboration teamed with a quirky chair display adorn the otherwise plain walls. Neat rails of garments line the studio shop front, leading on towards the work space area behind. In choosing a neutral palette to display the brand’s signature relaxed tailoring and clever use of colour; it’s these quirky yet functional finishing touches that sum up what we’ve come to know and love from this creative couple.
Knowing the original collection was having a sale moment, and naturally having already scanned the options on my previous night’s online research marathon, I made a bee-line for the bargain goodies!
My top picks from the collection include these must-have investment items; the Olive Tulip skirt, the Tux jacket and the Peplum top.
High quality materials, clever design and classic style; these versatile pieces have been carefully made to blend with and enhance your current wardrobe.
Fresh from the sale rail excitement, and just about to make a giddy exit; in walks stylist, presenter, designer and all round fashion guru, the lovely Sonya herself!
Naturally dressed to perfection in Lennon Courtney, she kindly obliges my eager questions, amateur photography & general chit-chat!
Feeling thoroughly inspired; I leave No.19 eagerly anticipating my next visit and the next exciting installment from Lennon Courtney.
